New Product in E-conomic
To create a new product:
- Select the menu option Product list from the Sales tab
- Click on New product from the centre section of your screen
- Complete the fields, guidelines below, click OK

Details about the fields
Note that not all fields are mandatory.
| Field | Action |
|---|---|
| Number | The desired product number. The number must be unique to this product. Maximum 15 alphanumerical characters |
| Name | The desired product name (maximum 300 characters) |
| Product group | Select existing or create new product group. |
| Bar code | Bar codes can be used on a small scale with integration solutions in particular. |
| Description | A description of the product. |
| Sales price | The product’s sales price. The price can be edited on e.g., quotations and invoices. |
| Cost price | The cost price of the product. |
| Rec. price | Recommended sales price |
| Unit | The units in which the product is sold. E.g., if 12 in 1 parcel, enter ‘12’ |
| Access | Select ‘Barred’ to prohibit entries on the account, e.g., if the product is no longer sold by your company. |
By default, any products that have been barred will not show in your product list. Learn how to bar or delete products here.
To create a new product: Stock Management module
If you have the add-on module Stock Management, there will be more fields to fill out when creating a new product.
Here are the details about the Stock Management fields:

| Category (add-on module Stock Management) | Did you choose categories and variants for your product? |
| Location (add-on module Stock Management) | Here you can select the location of your product. |
| Minimum stock (add-on module Stock Management) | Here you can specify a minimum number of goods in your warehouse. This field can be used for the Reordering report. |
| Minimum order (add-on module Stock Management) | Here you can specify a minimum number of goods on order. This field can be used for the Reordering report. |
| Rec. cost price (add-on module Stock Management) | Here you must write a recommended cost price for your product. |
