User interface overview
The E-conomic interface consists of two sets of navigation: five horizontal tabs across the top, and a left-hand sub-menu with numerous options. The rest of the screen consists of two main areas. The upper is your work area - where you enter and edit information. The lower area is the list area - it displays all of the data that you have entered in the entry area.

The main tabs (A) of the standard setup

| Sales | Customer and product list, quotations, orders, invoices, terms of payment etc. |

| Dialogue | A task list and messages from e-conomic, your accountant and colleagues |
| Administrator | Available only to Administrators |
Navigating your way through E-conomic
- When you select a tab (A) along the top of the screen, the functions within that tab will appear in order on the sub menu (B) on the left hand side of the screen.
- Click on any function on the sub menu that you would like to work with.
- You will then have the opportunity to enter your data in the input field zone (C) for that function and see the related list of entries in the list area zone (D) on the bottom half of the screen.
- You can save the data that you have entered in the input field zone by clicking "OK".
- This data will then appear in the list area zone on the bottom half of the screen.
- Within the list area zone you will find various options to modify data within the function that you have chosen.
