Pop-up blockers

Many E-conomic functions are based on pop-up windows. (A pop-up window is a window that appears automatically.) However, many browsers prevent pop-ups by default.

To use E-conomic, please ensure that your browser allows pop-ups from E-conomic. Please not that it is not recommended to turn off the pop-up blocker entirely. A ’browser’ is the software you use to access e-conomic and the internet. The name of the one you are using is shown at the top of the window:

Internet Explorer
To allow pop-up windows from E-conomic:
1. Click ‘Tools’ > ‘Pop-up Blocker’ > ‘Pop-up blocker Settings’ in the top right-hand corner.
2. Enter the address of the website to allow, e.g. www.e-conomic.co.uk
3. Click ‘Close’

Firefox
To allow pop-up windows from E-conomic:
1. Click ‘Tools’ > ‘Options’ > ‘Content’ in the menu at the top
2. Click ‘Exceptions’ to the right of ‘Block pop-up windows’
3. Enter the address of the website to allow, e.g. www.e-conomic.co.uk
4. Click ‘Close’
5. Click ‘OK’
If a pop-up is blocked, the browser will alert you by showing this at the top of the webpage:
Click on the message and select ‘Always allow pop-ups from this site’
