E-mail's sent from post@e-conomic.co.uk

Why is post@e-conomic.co.uk listed as the sender on my E-conomic emails?

You may have noticed that when you or your customers receive an email with an offer, order or invoice from your E-conomic application, the sender of the email is listed as post@e-conomic.co.uk:

When you or your clients choose to reply to this mail, then the recipient address will automatically switch to the email address that you specified in your company's master information. This way, all replies to emails from post@e-conomic.co.uk will be sent directly back to your company’s email address.

There are a number of reasons that E-conomic sends emails from post@e-conomic.co.uk in the first place:

  1. This way, we can detect emails that have bounced (not reached the recipient) and display them in your outgoing mail.
  2. In order to insure that e-mail from the E-conomic application can be digitally signed, mails must have been sent from the E-conomic email address.
  3. Finally, sending these mails from post@e-conomic.co.uk is the easiest solution. If we sent these emails from another email server than our own, we would need access to the log-in details for our customers' mail servers. We are not interested in having access to this information, nor is it information that our customers have expressed they wish to give us access to.

Avoid post@e-conomic.co.uk as the sender

If you do not wish to have your invoices and other E-conomic emails sent from post@e-conomic.co.uk, then you can choose to manually send these emails to your own email server first, and then forward these email’s content and attachments from your own mail account.
