Basic setup
It is necessary to enter information and define some settings before beginning to book entries, create invoices etc.
- First you enter your company’s master information
- Then you select a default setup
- Finally you create an accounting year
Entering master information
When ordering your e-conomic subscription you entered some master information for your company. This information is found under Master information in the Settings tab menu.
This information about the company will appear on printed external documents such as invoices.

Selecting a default account setup
The quickest way to begin using e-conomic is to select one of the default account setups here. When you select a default account setup, all sub-menu items from and including Chart of accounts to and including Terms of payment are automatically set up. After selecting a default account setup, you can tailor the chart of accounts to your needs.
You can browse all the setups before you select one.

Creating an accounting year
After entering company information and selecting a default account setup, you need only define an accounting year in order to start using the accounting system.
You can create all the accounting years you need, including previous accounting years.

Now you have set up e-conomic!
