Users in administrator module

As an E-conomic superuser you can create users, assign and change user passwords and grant users access to one or more companies.

This menu item contains information on registered users (user ID and user name). This is where superuser's administer information, access rights and passwords are dealt with.

To create a new user:

  1. Click ‘Administrator’ > ‘Administrator’ > ‘Users’
  2. Click ‘New user’
  3. Edit the fields Details
  4. Click ‘OK’
  5. The new user will receive an automatic email from E-conomic letting them know their new details and password

Details about the fields

Field Action
User ID The desired user identification. Maximum six alphanumerical characters, e.g., the user’s initials
Name The user’s name
Language The interface language for this user.
Note that the language of the interface is independent of the program setup so language changes will not effect the functionality. I.e. if your e-conomic is set up for Swedish reporting and taxes, changing the interface to English will not change the functionality
E-mail The user’s e-mail address
Password/Password (repeat) Type the user’s password twice. It must comprise minimum eight characters including at least one number and one letter
Access to new companies Check this to give this user Administrator rights to any companies added to your firm’s Company Register

To change the password of a user:

  1. Click ‘Administrator’ > ‘Administrator’ > ‘Users’
  2. Click the ‘Edit’ icon to the right
    3.Enter your (superuser’s) password
  3. Enter the new password in the Password field and repeat in the Password (repeat) field. The password must comprise minimum eight characters containing as a minimum one number and one letter.
  4. Click ‘OK’
  5. Inform the user of their new password

New users do not automatically have access to companies in the Company register. The superuser must indicate which companies the user should have access to.
